La Route Palmée
Starting from a desire to enhance the scuba diving and freediving sites of Quebec, La Route Palmée aims to enhance and protect Quebec aquatic environments, to promote the safe practice of underwater activities as well as to develop the involvement and commitment of the Quebec underwater community towards a common and mobilizing project. To do this, an accreditation program for Quebec dive sites has been put in place and aims to create an official network of scuba diving and freediving sites for the province. The Route Palmée, presented in a georeferenced map accessible on the Quebec Underwater website, will also be recognizable via the Québec road network thanks to the creation of a seal physically marking the accredited sites. The accredited sites are the starting points of the dives and can give access to one or more distinct underwater sites. There are three levels of accreditation represented by fins. The number of fins ranging from one to three is distributed to accredited sites according to the number of criteria they meet.
Project progressThe project is currently in its development and implementation phase. In the coming months, it will be possible to submit a site accreditation request using the form that will be available on this page.
SealsAccredited sites will receive a seal that can be visibly displayed on their physical site as well as be posted on their website.
